We went swimming in the afternoon, then came home and had hamburgers and "cake," which was really a pan of mix brownies because I am too lazy to make a big deal out of a two-year-old's birthday. Sorry, but there it is.
then she opened her favorite present:
A baby doll from Grandy! She loves this thing. And she calls it...Baby.
I call it Creepy Baby (That Blinks Too Much).
I will do a real birthday post soon about how great Ivy is at two. (Here's a preview: really great.)

What? You don't decorate a fancy table in coordinating colors with a ridiculous variety of matching food? Hmmm. Perhaps that' why when my children are older I do nothing because I am burnt out from absurdly overdone first birthday parties. I think you are on to something...
Happy birthday little Ivy!
Happy Birthday cute Ivy!
One of the reason I'm glad I don't have girls...dolls.
happy bday ivy girl! and love the bed head criff (in the 1st pic)
Annie-at least Crif still has hair! Considering what happens with redheaded guys is LUCKY!!! Ella calls her doll like this, Jessica. Maybe you should go with that!! :) Happy birthday our darling IVY!!!!!
The little girl who looks soooo much like Ivy came in to the nursery while I was working today. Her name is Lauren. She is 3 and totally adorable just like our Ivy-girl. I always get misty when she comes in. Life just is not all that fair.....
I CANNOT believe Ivy is two. She's beautiful. Love your description of the doll.
