beautiful Julia

So my friend walked in the door with this adorable thing, and I was like "WHAT THE WHAT, SHE HAS RED HAIR!"

And my friend was like, "ya."

And I was all, "SHE HAS AN IRANIAN DAD AND A BLONDE SCANDINAVIAN MOM, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH I WANTED A RED HEAD? DO YOU? THE WORLD IS STUPID."

And she was all, "..."

And I was like, "I TRIED FOUR TIMES."

And she was all, "I know, right? simmer down."

She's adorable. My husband has a red beard, so I'm hoping that means we'll have at least one red headed kid! That's usually how it works, right?

Oh, Liz, I share your goal to make a red-headed child. Matt's brother is a red head (and Matt also has red in his beard, Leah!), so I'm hoping that gene has a good chance of making it's way out.

I guess you'll just have to keep trying? I mean, if nothing, you still get some pretty dang cute kids out of it, even if they don't have red hair.

Holy crap, that kid is cute!! You know, I hate to tell you this... but Gray's hair looks reddish in the sunlight. All of Nate's siblings had red hair except for him, so we might end up the bearers of the redhead. :)
